![]() Debra Williams
Owner of Sagebrush Tipi Works, Debra is an artist who has been making
tipis since 1997. She is four years shy of living most of her life in
the Rocky Mountains.
As a child, Debra was deeply influenced by her Grandfather, the late Kenneth Williams, a Colorado artist of Native American descent and a long-standing member of the Lone Feather Council. Growing up, she was surrounded by the soul-stirring images of Native American traditions. She sustains a deep and abiding reverence of the Good Red Road. Debra has found there is a subtle, indescribable experience of the Great Mystery when one spends time in a tipi -- and she has devoted herself to spreading that experience to others. Board member of the Medicine Circle Trust and author of works on Native American history, culture and values, Debra lives in the deep woods near the Montana-Idaho-Canadian border.
