Pine productions is a hobby. A hobby by definition enriches your life as it drains your wallet. As we rarely accept money for any project and everything costs, so it is difficult to make it up with volume. It may be a tough but sure beats working.
Pine Productions is made up of two
characters. Harvey the leader and creator, Anita, the follower, cook and bottle washer.
In the 1960s, we were a black and white photo
lab. In the 1970s color slide
shows was the specialty. In the 1980s we made super 8 movies. By the 1990s
super 8 was obsolete and our main product was VHS friendship tapes. Some of the
movies were placed on VHS. Since
the turn of the century, Pine Productions has become a Publishing Organization,
publishing the creative writing talents of Harvey.
“LANDA” the most RED book, READILY
available at most garage sales was
published to give Harvey the title of PUBLISHED AUTHOR. The novel utilizes the
collection of expressions. Example “books may be priceless if read and
worthless if not”. “The chances of being read are inversely proportional to
length”. The book is not sold for
money but marketed by “BARTER”.
Our “labor of love” museum contains wood work, knitted crafts, painting,
music, self published books and various other crafts. Always room for more. The
only rule, the items should be made by you and is not immoral, illegal, or
fattening. (No food). If you have a craft hobby, make an offer and you will
receive a book!
There is a long list of stories, essays, and
articles, written by Harvey. Many have been published in journals and
magazines. Some are available free on request.
A major project is writing plays. The play “FRANKIES THURDAY NIGHT” was taken from a
chapter in Landa. It has been read on tape.
“LOVE GONE
WRONG” is the current play. The theme is anti war and treating Gays with
dignity. The story was entered in the 2007 Idaho Writers League contest. The play
has been read on tape and then mass produced on CD. It is available on
request. Still looking for a group
to stage it and grants from Pine Productions might be available to help this
happen. The play in the works “HELL FROZE OVER” is a romantic comedy dealing with “spiritual
faith”.
