Our Exclusive! THE RAG
RUGS TOUR
Our "Rag Rugs Tour" lets you stroll through a virtual exhibit of
traditional
rugs in all their glorious variety. At each of the stops there are
photgraphs
of rugs, some history and information about how they were made. There
are
also letters about that particular type of rug which are the last
section
on each stop.
The tour has 21 exhibits covering all of the major categories
of traditional
rag rugs. All of the rugs shown on the tour were made by our Master
Rugmaker
Diana Blake Gray, unless otherwise noted.
At the bottom of each page, just click on the blue button
marked 'NEXT'
to continue the tour. If you want to look at the exhibit of just one
particular
type of rug, click on the list below to go to that rug type.
If you've taken the Rag Rugs Tour before, you'll notice that
we have
made changes--adding more text and photos. Now on each stop of the tour
you'll find all of the information about that type of rug, and a
selection
of letters.
